As property developers respond to the need for safety conscious urban renewal on brownfield sites nationwide, Abode was the perfect partner to supply the premium five storey Imperial Court residential development in Slough town centre. This development of 55 freehold one and two- bedroom apartments was developed by Langham Homes and sold to Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing as affordable housing for its new Rent to Buy Scheme. Imperial Central is within walking distance of local amenities, mainline train station and the newly launched Cross Rail for easy commuting from Berkshire to Central London and Essex.

With safety at the forefront of Imperial Court’s design, every aspect was carefully considered including fire safety as well as individual key fob entry system and video entry phone access to each apartment. Residents also enjoy secure cycle storage and lifts to each floor. A popular and eagerly anticipated development, properties have been sold in a price range of £290,000 to £400,000.  Each home was designed for open plan contemporary living and as this ethos was clearly aligned with Abode’s creative and innovative approach to water delivery and management, choosing the right kitchen tap was key.

PRODUCT

All 55 designer kitchens in the Imperial Court development were supplied with an Abode Pronteau Prothia 3 IN 1 hot water tap (PT1142) in Chrome. This ensured a practical solution for the end user to enjoy hot drinks and speedy cooking with domestic hot, cold and 98° instant steaming hot water, making the tap fully compliant with Part G (3) of UK building regulations.

The Pronteau Prothia 3 IN 1 tap is priced from £649-£749 and is available in two contemporary spout choices, swan neck and quad to satisfy all decors and 5 on trend colourways: Chrome, Matt Black, Urban Copper, Brushed Nickel and Brushed Brass.

Developers also benefit from the toolless installation Proboil.2X intelligent hot water boiler which can be fitted quickly and easily in the wet zone. Furthermore, Abode’s Proboil hot water products comply with all LVD/EMC/ROHS standards according to CE and UKCA. All Proboil boilers either have WRAS certification or are in preparation for approval to further reinforce the company’s ability to design and make safe and stylish tap solutions.
