Pronteau Industria 3 IN 1 Hot Water Tap

The hot water tap is fast becoming the must-have kitchen gadget. If friends or family have recently renewed their kitchen, you may have heard them raving about their new tap. In fact, many people are and there’s good reason for it. Or should we say, lots of good reasons.

At first glance you might think it’s just about getting hot water out of your tap instead of the kettle. But this is no like-for-like swap. With a traditional kettle, you need to fill it from the tap and wait while it boils. The beauty of a hot water tap is you can cut out these steps, saving time and effort. And as you can do away with the kettle, you can reclaim some of your worktop space.

As if that wasn’t convenient enough, you can set your temperature level, so it’s just right for your tea, coffee, pasta or vegetables. This is thanks to the clever boiler that sits beneath the sink.

The latest boilers are insulated, so they’re efficient to run. They typically come with a two to four litre capacity, which is handy when you’ve got lots of pans on the go. How many times have you found yourself boiling the kettle over and over?

As you can pour the exact amount of water you need, you’ll no longer be guilty of overfilling the kettle. So, it’s easy to save energy and water. In today’s climate, that really gives the hot water tap the edge. Thanks to features such as cool-touch spouts and HotKey and two-step safety handles they’re a family-friendly option too.

Of course, the convenience of instant hot water isn’t the only reason these taps are so coveted. They’re also good multi-taskers, especially the 4-in-1 versions. These dispense boiling hot and filtered cold water in addition to standard hot and cold water.

For those who love bottled water, you can switch to cold, filtered water straight from the tap, reducing your single plastic use. And for those already filtering through a jug, it means you can dispense with even more worktop clutter.

You might be mistaken for thinking new gadgets are always hard to master. But hot water taps use two levers and a single spout, making them ridiculously easy to use. The only real dilemma is what style and finish you go for.
